Houston Astros number six-ranked prospect Joey Loperfido wanted to get in on the fun too, belting a career-first in the team’s 8-1 win. The 25-year-old outfielder launched a two-run shot to right field in the third inning to make it 6-0. The 354-foot homer is the first of Loperfido’s big-league career, happening in his 11th MLB game. “It felt good,” the Philadelphia native said after the victory. His blast helped the Astros pick up their second series sweep of the season.
