It didn’t take long for Houston Astros number six-ranked prospect Joey Loperfido to make his mark in his MLB debut. With his family in attendance, the outfielder checked off two career firsts with one swing of the bat at home against Cleveland. In his second at-bat, the 24-year-old singled with the bases loaded, plating two runs and giving his team the lead in a game they would go on to win, 10-9, in extra innings. “Just such a good feeling,” said Loperfido after the victory.
