The veteran lefty has had a career resurgence with his new team, which continued in the second game of Monday’s home doubleheader with the San Diego Padres. Sale improved to 7-1 and extended his scoreless streak to 20 innings by tossing seven shutout frames with zero walks and nine strikeouts in a 3-0 Braves win. The 35-year-old has struck out at least nine batters in four straight starts, his longest personal streak since 2019.
