Making her 100th career cap during Saturday’s gold medal match against Brazil, Mallory Swanson was the difference maker with a terrific scoring finish in the 57th minute. The forward sprinted to meet a through ball sent by teammate Korbin Albert and then calmly fired a shot past the goalkeeper for her fourth tally of the 2024 Olympic Games. Team USA carried the 1-0 advantage until the final whistle, capturing their first gold medal since 2012.
