The 29-year-old entered the game in the eighth inning and waited for his pitch before lacing a single to left field. Westbrook, who was making his MLB debut after 1,159 games over 11 years in the Minors, didn't have to wait too long for his first career hit. "It was so cool," said the Massachusetts native after the victory.
