It’s been a long time coming for Blue Jays designated hitter Justin Turner, but the veteran player chalked up a notable mark in Wednesday’s win, 3-2. Playing in his 16th MLB season, the 39-year-old tallied his 1,500th career knock with a bloop single to right field in the fourth inning. “It’s definitely a milestone that I didn’t necessarily know I’d ever get to, even when I got to the Major Leagues,” Turner reflected after the home victory.
