DJ Herz was historically good on Saturday. In a home outing against the Miami Marlins, Washington's starter fired six scoreless innings and struck out a career-high 13 batters without issuing a walk -- on just 84 pitches. He joins Nationals legend Stephen Strasburg (June 2010) as the only pitchers with 13-plus punchouts and zero walks in one of his first three MLB outings, dating back to at least 1901. “It still doesn’t feel real,” Herz said after his first career win. “It’s an awesome feeling.”
