New York Mets outfielder Starling Marte is showing he still has plenty of speed to show for in his 13th MLB season. The 35-year-old didn’t wait long after reaching first base on a single to put his wheels in motion in the second inning. Marte took second base one at-bat later, securing the 350th bag of his career. He’s now a perfect 12-for-12 on steals this season and is batting .351 over his last 25 games. The Mets picked up the opening series win, 2-1, over the San Diego Padres.
