San Francisco Giants fans saw a glimpse of what their farm system has been brewing with Hayden Birdsong’s pitching effort on Tuesday. A week removed from his MLB debut, the 22-year-old one-upped that with his first career victory. The Giants number four-ranked prospect limited the damage against the Atlanta Braves to two runs over five innings and racked up five strikeouts in the 5-3 win. “It’s very special,” Birdsong said on the personal milestone. “It’ll set in later, I’m sure.”
