It seems as if Pittsburgh Pirates fireballer Paul Skenes makes history with each start. Friday was no different, as the rookie phenom struck out eight over seven innings in a 14-2 win over the New York Mets. Skenes now has seven or more whiffs in nine of his 10 career outings -- the MLB record for most within a player's first 10 games. He and Masahiro Tanaka (2014) are the only hurlers with 70+ strikeouts and less than 15 walks in their first 10 career appearances (since at least 1901).
