Angel Martínez

Cleveland Guardians top prospect Angel Martínez continues to show early flashes of his potential at the big-league level. The 22-year-old got his Club out to an early lead on Tuesday with his first career longball in the opening frame. It was Martínez’s lone hit in the 9-8 home victory over the Detroit Tigers, but he made the 356-foot shot count. The young player showed that he has some pop in his bat and is hitting an astonishing .400 since his MLB debut on June 22.
