Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jake McCarthy may not have been wearing a cape in Thursday’s game, but it didn’t take away from his massive play at the wall. The 26-year-old timed the ball off Atlanta Braves slugger Matt Olson’s bat perfectly to leap and rob him of a homer. McCarthy’s heroic catch helped put the exclamation mark on Arizona’s shutout victory, 1-0. Interestingly, this was the Club’s first home win by the same result, with the only run coming via a dinger since 2011.
