Oscar Piastri

Oscar Piastri secured the first victory of his Formula 1® career with an impressive win at the FORMULA 1 HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX 2024. The Australian driver achieved his childhood dream of becoming a Formula 1® Grand Prix™ winner at the Hungaroring. Piastri started the race in P2 and made a perfect start to the race, taking the lead at the very first turn. He then led for large parts of the race but a pit strategy saw him behind teammate Lando Norris with a few laps to go. Piastri regained the lead on lap 68 and drove home to take his maiden victory. He became the seventh different driver to win this season and the 115th driver in history to win a Formula 1® race.
