There may be another reliable arm brewing for the Houston Astros. Fresh off his first career no-hitter, right-hander Ronel Blanco was out to give the Astros fanbase another stellar performance. The Dominican Republic native kept the Texas Rangers hitless through five and 2/3 innings before giving up a single to Adolis García. Blanco’s 44 outs in a row without allowing a hit is the most to begin a campaign in at least the expansion era (1961).
