The rookie outfielder’s plate vision was displayed on Sunday, collecting the first four-hit game of his young career. Merrill recorded four singles in the contest and added his first career stolen base for good measure in the ninth inning. At 20 years and 354 days old, he becomes the second-youngest player in team history to record a matchup with four knocks.
