Bowden Francis nearly made history on Saturday. The Toronto Blue Jays hurler was tossing all the right stuff in the team's game against the Angels, recording a career-high in strikeouts. More importantly, Francis carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning before getting his bid broken up. Francis also logged a career-high in pitches thrown, adding to the banner day. Thanks to his efforts, the Blue Jays captured the win, 3-1.
