Benvenuto a MLB, Samuel Aldegheri! Hailing from Verona, Italy, the Angels pitcher became the first hurler born and raised in Italia to appear in a big-league game. Aldegheri, the Club’s eighth-ranked prospect, was tabbed with his first career start on Friday. The 22-year-old southpaw tossed five innings and picked up his first three MLB strikeouts. “I’m happy for my country and for the kids in Italy who might feel like they are nobody, but I just showed them anyone can make it,” Aldegheri said.
