Paul Skenes continues to turn heads in his rookie season. The Pittsburgh Pirates hurler was his usual self against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night, striking out six batters and allowing no runs throughout his five innings of work. The outing saw the young star tie Cy Blanton (1935) for the franchise record for most strikeouts by a rookie in a season since 1900. Thanks to his strong performance on the mound, the Pirates cruised to an easy victory, 5-0.
