Kyle Schwarber

Pitchers must shudder when Kyle Schwarber walks to the plate. The Philadelphia Phillies slugger has been on a tear recently and continued upon that in the team’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Leading off, Schwarber wasted no time, smashing a homer over the right-field wall. The shot marked his 13th leadoff home run of the season, which ties an MLB record held by Alfonso Soriano. Schwarber’s offense continues to be appreciated by his team as they cruised to a 4-2 victory.
