Parker Meadows

Parker Meadows played the role of hero on Thursday night. With the bases loaded, two outs, and down to their last strike against the San Diego Padres, the Detroit Tigers rookie outfielder crushed a 101-mph fastball into the left-field seats for a go-ahead grand slam. It was the second-fastest pitch a Tigers player has homered off in the pitch-tracking era (2008). Detroit would hold on to secure a much needed 4-3 victory as they look to stay in the Postseason hunt.
