Javier Sanoja didn't waste any time making an impression during his MLB debut against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 22-year-old Miami Marlins call-up stepped to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning for his first MLB at-bat. Sanoja immediately flashed his offensive ability, recording an RBI on the first pitch thrown. He is the first Marlins player since at least 2000 to record an RBI on the first pitch he saw in the Majors. His shot proved to be helpful for the team as they overtook the Phillies, 9-5.
