Anthony Santander accomplished a feat that hasn’t been reached since the 2006 season during the Baltimore Orioles game against the Boston Red Sox on Monday. The slugger stepped to the plate in the top of the seventh inning, smashing a home run to right-center field. The shot marked Santander’s 40th homer of the season, putting him in the history books as the first switch-hitter since 2006 (Carlos Beltrán; Lance Berkman) to hit that many taters in a season.
