Sunday was a historic day for San Diego Padres pitcher Yu Darvish, as the 38-year-old veteran became the first Japanese pitcher in MLB history to record 2,000 strikeouts. He now has 3,253 to his name between his time in Japan and Major League Baseball. Despite not factoring in the decision, Darvish was fantastic for his team, going six and 1/3 innings with nine strikeouts to help lead them to a 4-2 win and series sweep of the Chicago White Sox.
