The Land of the Rising Sun was well represented in Friday's NLDS Game 5. Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Yoshinobu Yamamoto took on San Diego Padres veteran Yu Darvish, making it the first time in Postseason history with a pitching matchup between two Japanese hurlers. Yamamoto won the battle with a five-inning shutout outing. Darvish gave his team a quality start, allowing just two runs over six and 2/3 innings. The Dodgers edged out the Padres, 2-0, to move on to the NLCS.
