Kerry Carpenter came up big when the Detroit Tigers needed him the most. In the top of the ninth inning of a scoreless game, the slugger flashed his power at just the right time. With two outs and runners on first and third base, Carpenter connected on a slider, sending a majestic shot 423 feet over the right-field wall. The homer was the hardest-hit ball of his career and proved to be the game-winner, with the Tigers defeating the Guardians in Game 2 of the American League Division Series, 3-0.
