The 24-year-old Detroit Tigers call-up outfielder Kerry Carpenter, who made his Major League Baseball debut on August 10th, belted the first home run of his MLB career in the second meeting of yesterday's day/night doubleheader between his Club and the Cleveland Guardians. Carpenter went long in the sixth inning after connecting with a pitch from Guardians hurler Eli Morgan, sending the ball just over the right-center-field wall. This solo home run highlighted Carpenter's three-hit night, all of which helped to hand his Tigers their eventual 7-5 victory.
