Veteran hurler Justin Verlander added another milestone to his impressive resume in his season debut for the Houston Astros Friday night. The 41-year-old went six innings with four punchouts and limited the damage to just two runs against the Washington Nationals. Verlander's first-inning punchout against designated hitter Jesse Winker passed Hall-of-Famer Phil Niekro (3,342) to take sole possession of 12th on the all-time strikeouts list, and is currently sitting with 3,346.
