Nick Kurtz delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the 8th inning to lift the Durham Bulls over the Toledo Mud Hens. The two-out hit scored Jonathan Aranda and gave Durham a 4-3 lead they would not relinquish. Kurtz, playing first base, also made a nice scoop of a throw from the shortstop to complete a double play, helping preserve the win.
