Nick Kurtz・Mark McGwire

Athletics star Nick Kurtz continues to find any way to get on base, tying a franchise record in a series opener against Seattle. Working a walk in the third inning, the first baseman tied Mark McGwire (1996) for the longest single-season on-base streak (48 games) for a Club player. “For Nick, it’s not even the chase aspect,” Manager Mark Kotsay said.
