Chris Sale never took home the American League Cy Young Award during his days with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox, despite finishing top 6 in voting every year from 2012-18. However, the 35-year-old changed the narrative in 2024 and came out on top as a member of the National League. Sale had a true return to form in his first season with the Atlanta Braves, winning the NL pitching Triple Crown with an 18-3 record and 2.38 ERA in 29 starts. His 225 strikeouts were a new Braves single-season franchise record for lefties.
