Athletics rookie Nick Kurtz has accomplished plenty in his debut season, and he added yet another standout moment against Boston. The young slugger crushed a solo shot to left field in a 5-4 win over the Red Sox for his 30th homer of the year. Kurtz becomes just the third first-year player in Club history to post a 30-plus home run season (Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco).
