Salvador Perez further cemented his place in the Kansas City Royals record books with his contribution in an 8-4 win over the Angels. The veteran backstop plated Bobby Witt Jr. with a first-inning single to center field for his 1,013th career RBI. With that many on his résumé, Perez passed Hal McRae for sole possession of second place on the team's all-time RBI list.
