Lefty Reid Detmers made all kinds of history with his dominant outing against Texas. The 26-year-old struck out a career-high 14 Rangers batters, walked none, and allowed one hit over eight innings in his Club’s 2-1 walk-off, sweep-clinching win. Detmers joins Nolan Ryan as the only pitchers in Angels history with 14-plus strikeouts and 1 or fewer hits allowed in a game.
