MLB's Home Run Derby returned to Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX as eight of the game's most prolific sluggers stepped into the batter's box to show off their power. In the end, it was Pete Alonso of the New York Mets who took home the hardware, but not before he was pushed to the limit by the Kansas City Royals' Salvador Perez. The slugfest went down to the final swing, with Alonso topping Perez 23 HR to 16 in the championship round to claim his second-straight Derby crown. MJ Melendez was one of the eight participants, and he made the most of his opportunity, belting 10 homers in the event.
