Eduardo Valencia propelled the Detroit Tigers to a dominant victory with a record-setting performance against the Baltimore Orioles. The Club’s No. 11 prospect crushed in the second and eighth innings of a 14-0 rout. Valencia became the only MLB player in the modern era (1900) to bat .500 or better with four-plus home runs over the first seven games of his career.
