Nick Kurtz

Athletics fans can take a sigh of relief now that the reigning AL Rookie of the Year Award winner has hammered his first homer of the season. Nick Kurtz got enough on New York Mets Freddy Peralta's curveball in the third inning, seeing it land in the right-field seats. Kurtz’s effort was appreciated in a 1-0 win, leading to a series sweep in Queens.
