Kris Bryant connected for his 100th career home run and sixth of the season against Marlins pitcher Wei-Yin Chen. The third baseman, who got the start in right field in this game, became the 22nd Cubs player to reach the century mark and needed just 487 games to do so. Bryant passed Cubs legend Ernie Banks, who needed 500 career games to reach the milestone. The home run came on the third anniversary of his first career MLB dinger, hit against the Brewers in 2015.
