Rowdy Tellez

Rowdy Tellez came in to pinch-hit for Jonathan Davis in the sixth and smacked a double into the gap in right off Jake Faria to score Aledmys Diaz. This hit made Tellez the third player in team history with a pinch-hit, extra-base hit in his first MLB plate appearance. He also became the first Blue Jays player to record a hit on the first MLB pitch he saw since J.P. Arencibia in 2010. In addition, Tellez went on to become the first player to get three extra-base hits in his first three bats at bats.
