SEPTEMBER 27, 1986 — Amidst an impressive campaign, Jack Morris toyed with the Yankees starting lineup at Yankee Stadium en route to his 20th win of the season. Morris fired 10 shutout innings and allowed just four hits, while striking out eight batters. The impressive demonstration of dependability and dominance was rewarded with a run in the top of the 10th inning, and Morris nailed down the win in the bottom half of the frame.
