With the score tied, 1-1, with two innings to go in the AL East Division showdown between the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays, Hunter Renfroe took the game over with two consecutive jaw-dropping moments. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Renfroe connected for a go-ahead, solo homer well over the Green Monster Wall. The ensuing frame, the 29-year-old threw out Joey Wendle as he attempted to advance to third base to end the game.
