Nick Kurtz delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning, lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Colorado Rockies, 6-5. The left-handed-hitting rookie worked a full count before lacing a two-out single to right field, scoring Alek Thomas from second base and giving Arizona the lead for good. Kurtz, called up earlier in the day, made an immediate impact in his first game with the big-league club.
