Manny Machado brought the San Diego Padres season home-run total to a franchise-record 190 when he launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. The blast put the team ahead, 3-0, in an eventual 3-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. Machado has fueled a dangerous and young Padres lineup all season, helping to expedite the team's rebuild.
