Fernando Tatis Jr. / Manny Machado

The San Diego Padres opened their NL Wild Card series with an 8-0 win over the Chicago Cubs, sparked by their superstar sluggers. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a leadoff home run before Manny Machado followed with a solo blast two at-bats later. Tatis and Machado became the first teammates in Club history to combine for multiple homers in the first inning of a Postseason game.
