Mike Schmidt

JULY 25, 1980 — In a clash with the Atlanta Braves, Mike Schmidt came up with a huge, record-setting performance. The third baseman clubbed four hits, two of them home runs and drove in four of the team's five runs. The two homers pushed Schmidt's career total to 261, marking a Phillies record. However, it was Schmidt's 12th-inning, walk-off walk that gave the Phillies a 5-4 victory.
