AUGUST 1, 1987 — Andre Dawson produced all the offense the Cubs needed in a game against the Phillies, driving in all five runs. The outfielder clubbed three home runs — a three-run shot in the third and then two additional solo blasts to keep the Cubs ahead in an eventual 5-3 win.
