Starling Marte

Acquired by Miami just before Monday's trade deadline, Starling was the difference maker in his first game with the Marlins. His eighth inning solo home run unlocked a 2–2 tie with Toronto and delivered them to the 3–2 victory. A nine-year veteran and former MLB All-Star, Marte figures to bat right in the middle of the Miami lineup as they charge towards their first Postseason berth since 2003.
