Derek Jeter

After being an integral part of four World Series titles, 29-year-old Derek Jeter was firmly entrenched as the face of the Yankees. However, The Boss made it official on June 3, when the New York Yankees named the former AL Rookie of the Year Award winner The Captain of their team. “It’s a role that I cherished, I embraced it. There have only been so many captains in the history of the sport and it was my job to not take that responsibility for granted and to lead by example and to be representative of not only myself but the entire Yankees organization.”
