Amazingly, Derek Jeter joined the 3,000 hits club in one of the most dominant hitting performances of his career. In his New York Yankees meeting with the Tampa Bay Rays, Jeter went 5-for-5, collecting two RBI and stealing one base. Emphatically, Jeter's 3,000th hit was a solo home run, smashed in the third inning. Jeter's incredible performance helped his Yankees to edge out the Rays, 5-4.
