Jacob deGrom

Jacob deGrom now stands alone in the MLB record books after another brilliant performance in his 187th career start. The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner tossed a complete-game shutout and racked up a career-high 15 strikeouts. Jacob sits with 50 strikeouts over the first four starts of the 2021 season, a number no starting pitcher in MLB history has accomplished until now. deGrom has also registered 14 or more strikeouts in his last three starts, matching the longest streak in the modern era. The ace lowered his ERA to a miniscule 0.31 over 29 innings of work. In fact, deGrom has more RBI (2) than he has earned runs allowed this year (1).
