Roger Clemens

Roger Clemens set the tone for the Toronto Blue Jays in their 3-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals with an otherworldly performance on the mound. The 36-year-old flamethrower scattered three hits and fanned 18 batters over the course of a complete-game shutout. Clemens' arsenal of prolific pitches, highlighted by his ferocious fastball, proved to be overpowering in the end-of-summer matchup at the SkyDome. With this effort, Roger became the first pitcher in MLB history to collect three, 18-plus strikeout performances in a career.
